Methodological recommendations for priests-video bloggers have been published

Опубликованы методические рекомендации для священников-видеоблогеров
According to RIA Novosti, the Russian Orthodox Church has issued guidelines for priests who maintain video blogs. The new training manual views work on a personal video channel as a continuation of pastoral work and warns bloggers in the priesthood against such things as self-centeredness and guruism. At the same time, recommendations are considered a perfectly acceptable intention to recoup the costs of a blog - the main thing is that earnings for such bloggers do not turn into an end in itself. As for the form of submission of materials posted on a personal video channel, the ROC training manual emphasizes that its leading clergyman 'independently creatively determines the ways and style of presenting material, in accordance with his Christian conscience, Holy Scriptures and Tradition.' Of course, such things as bad language, personal attacks and making fun of groups of people, as well as showing shocking videos are considered completely unacceptable. We will remind that last year the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed the initiative of the clergy to come out with Orthodox ideas on the Internet - but warned the owners of video blogs against using slang words and expressions.
