A dove sat on the cross of the temple during a prayer service in Echmiadzin

During the prayer service for salvation from the coronavirus, which took place in the heart of Armenia - the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin - a dove sat on the cross crowning the temple. The bird stayed there as long as the prayer service continued - and when it was over, it flew away.

As Sputnik Armenia notes, believers saw this as a good omen. One of them, Arsen Areyan, posted a video about the wonderful event on YouTube. “It is interesting that throughout the prayer the dove sat and flew away as soon as it was over. The dove in the Bible symbolizes good news as well as the Holy Spirit. This is a good sign, ”wrote Arsen in a commentary to his video.

Prayers for getting rid of the coronavirus are being heard every day in Echmiadzin, starting March 19. It is interesting to note that on Sunday, March 29, when the faithful watched a dove on the cross, in the church itself, during the prayer service, the right hand of Saint Gregory the Illuminator, a saint of God who was especially revered in Armenia, was brought out for worship. Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II blessed the audience with a shrine and offered up a prayer for deliverance from the pernicious epidemic of Armenia and the whole world.
