On December 19, the Orthodox Church commemorates one of the most revered Christian saints - St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop Mir of Lycia. In Russia, 'Nikola Zimniy', as this holiday is called, has long been an important winter date, with which many folk signs are associated.
On the day of commemoration of St. Nicholas, a reliquary with a particle of the relics of the great Christian saint was brought to the Kuban capital. Krasnodar residents and pilgrims from different cities, villages and farms of the Kuban, as well as guests of the Cossack region can attach themselves to the shrine in the church with the holy blessed Matrona of Moscow in the Kuban district. The reliquary with the relics of St. Nicholas the saint will be in Krasnodar until December 22.
