The icons, made in a unique technique on gut (handmade) glass, were handed over to the glory of God to the Belogoryevsky Monastery and the new temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the Podgorensky village, who wished to remain anonymous donor from the Moscow region. She, in turn, was given the icons by the abbess of the Nikolo-Solbinsky monastery in the Yaroslavl region, Abbess Erotiida - she also gave her blessing to take them to the Voronezh temple and the monastery. - Earlier, icons in this style were made for the temples of the south: Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine. The miraculous icon of the Mother of God, called the 'Blessed Sky', depicts the Mother of God, holding a baby in her arms, in full growth. Under her feet, a lunar crescent was initially depicted, and then a cloud-sky, 'the donor told the RIA Voronezh correspondent. The celebration of the icon of the Mother of God 'Blessed Sky' was established by the church twice in year: March 19 and All Saints' Week (rolling date). Before this honored image, they pray for the protection of the family from enemies, all kinds of troubles and misfortunes, for well-being in marriage, for a happy marriage or marriage of children, for healing from diseases and the health of loved ones, as well as for the granting of understanding at important moments in life. The workmanship used for making icons is one of the oldest technologies, originating in the lands of Ukraine. Such images are made by a master by hand, by the method of free blowing glass or using molds. Then, here, at the glass-blowing furnace, they decorate the image that has not yet cooled down.
