Three completely identical monuments to one of the most revered Russian saints - John of Kronstadt - will be installed in Russian Voronezh, German Hamburg and American Jordanville. The purpose of the action, according to Interfax, is to demonstrate the unity of Orthodox communities in a difficult time for international relations. The blessing of the Russian Orthodox Church has already been received for the creation of three identical monuments. Funds for the production, transportation and installation of sculptural images of the 'Easter Father' - more than sixty million rubles - were allocated by a philanthropist from Russia Pyotr Vyunov. And their author will be our compatriot Salavat Shcherbakov, known to Russians for such works as the monument to St. Vladimir - the Baptist of Russia on Borovitskaya Square and the monument to internationalist soldiers on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. The four-meter sculpture of the All-Russian shepherd will be made of bronze - the author is already working on it in the Moscow workshop named after Vyacheslav Klykov. In Hamburg, a monument to St. John of Kronstadt will be erected at the church consecrated in his honor, and in Jordanville - on the territory of Holy Trinity Monastery, one of the oldest Orthodox monastic cloisters in America. And in Voronezh, the monument will appear in a park area belonging to the temple of St. Blessed Xenia of Petersburg.
