The administration of Nizhnevartovsk, relying on the results of public hearings, proposed to the church to reduce the height of the future church of St. Sergius of Radonezh from 79 to 50 meters. Thus, the building will not be able to claim the status of the tallest building in the city, as previously assumed. “A project was prepared for the planning and land surveying of the territory for this temple. Public hearings were held. On them, residents of the city said that the temple is too high and needs to be lowered. As a result, it was proposed to revise the parameters of the object and reduce its height by 30 meters, ”the Nizhnevartovsk media department told Interfax-Ural. Changes in the height of the building will need to be made in the design of the temple. Accordingly, its proportions as a whole will also decrease. Previously, it was assumed that the temple itself will be designed for a capacity of five hundred people, and an auditorium for three hundred seats will be located in its basement. Now these figures will have to be adjusted. However, the belfry and the objects of the church infrastructure - the icon shop, the parish house and the parking lot - will nevertheless be built in the courtyard of the church. The building of the temple itself will be made of bricks in white and blue colors and designed in the style of northern architecture. The church plans to build a church in the name of St. Sergius at the expense of investors and donations from the faithful of the Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut metropolitanate.
