Daily Interpretation of the Holy Gospel December 28

From Mark. 8: 11-21
The Pharisees went out, began to argue with Him and demanded from Him a sign from heaven, tempting Him.
And He, sighing deeply, said: why does this generation demand a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.
And leaving them, he again entered the boat and set off to the other side.

At the same time, His disciples forgot to take bread, and they did not have bread with them in the boat besides one bread.
And He commanded them, saying: Look, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.
And, arguing among themselves, they said: this means that we have no bread.
Jesus, understanding, saith to them: Why do you reason that you have no bread? Do you not yet understand and understand? Is your heart still petrified?
Having eyes, don't you see? having ears, do not you hear? and don't you remember?
When I broke the five loaves for five thousand people, how many baskets full did you take of the pieces? They say to him: twelve.
And when seven for four thousand, how many baskets did you collect the remaining pieces. They said seven.
And he said to them: How then do you not understand?

Interpretation of a group of verses: Mark: 8: 11-11

As soon as Jesus came ashore, they immediately approached Him, obviously the Pharisees and Sadducees who were waiting for Him here on purpose
And the Pharisees and Sadducees came and, tempting Him, asked him to show them a sign from heaven.
Mt. 16: 1
These two sects of different directions (the Pharisees are conservatives, and the Sadducees are liberal freethinkers), who were at enmity with each other, in relation to the Lord acted in hostility with complete unanimity.

Tempting Him, i.e. hypocritically, insincerely, they began to ask that He show them a sign from heaven, i.e. such a wonderful phenomenon that could be for them and for all the people a clear proof of His dignity as the Messiah. Being sure that this time the Lord would refuse them this too, they wanted to have in this a new reason to disclose to the people that Jesus, who could not give a sign from heaven, could not be the Messiah.

But we are not Pharisees, of course. We do not need to confirm the truth of our faith through miracles?
For the confirmation of my personal faith, I do not need the supernatural origin of the blessed fire, the myrrh-streaming of icons, the miraculous healing of the sick, right?
It is good that I am not a Pharisee and the grace that comes from the Gospel text is enough for me.
