'Children's Liturgy' was held in the Sretensky Church of Ryazan

«Детская литургия» прошла в Сретенском храме Рязани
On Saturday, April 13, an unusual liturgy was served in the Ryazan Church of the Presentation of the Lord: all actions, except for the priesthood itself, were performed by children - pupils of the parish Sunday school. The divine service was led by the rector of the Sretensky Church, Priest Konstantin Ivanov, co-served by the parish clerics. During the service they were assisted by teenage altar boys. Liturgical chants during the liturgy were sung by the pupils of the choir singing circle. Children from the parish Sunday school also read the clock, the Apostle and watched over the candlesticks. And at the end of the service, the skills of bell-ringing skills were demonstrated by the guys from the ring-bell ringers' circle. After the service, the children and their parents, as well as the pupils of the parish patriotic boxing club in honor of the holy blessed prince Alexander Nevsky, 'Power of the Spirit' was invited to the construction site, where a new church building is being erected. Here, everyone who prayed during an unusual liturgy was able to write his name on one of the bricks, which will be laid in the wall of the temple under construction. After that, the children, together with their parents, as well as other parishioners of the Sretensky Church, who came to the service that day, took part in the cleanup, cleaning up the parish and the adjacent territory. As the official website of the Ryazan diocese notes, participation in the children's liturgy allowed young parishioners to experience the full depth of worship and Orthodox teaching, to acquire a conscious personal experience of church life.
