An Easter theatrical performance in the square of the Brazilian city of Nova Arts was nearly disrupted by one of the spectators, reports the Independent. At the moment when, according to the script, a Roman soldier pierced the side of the actor playing the Savior with a spear, the man ran onto the stage and kicked the legionnaire, and then struck him again on the head with a motorcycle helmet. Further reprisals were stopped by members of the theatrical troupe, who twisted the man overwhelmed with emotions. According to the audience, the Brazilian who ran onto the stage made his way through the crowd, shouting that he 'will not let Jesus die.' “We had to interrupt the performance for a while, but since no one was hurt, we decided to continue the performance,” director of the production Antonia Ferreira told reporters. He added that not so long ago, the actors playing the Roman soldiers were recently given new strong helmets, one of which softened the blow, which avoided injuries during the incident. The troublemaker was taken to the police. In the near future, law enforcement officers will check him for mental health and drug use.
