In Krasnodar, at these hours, a procession is taking place in cars, dedicated to today's holiday - the Exaltation of the Honest and Life-giving Cross of the Lord. As reported by the South Times, the movement of the column began at 10:15 am from the Church of the Nativity of Christ. The route of the procession will connect four worship crosses at the entrances to the city from different sides. At each of these eight-meter crosses, the clergy of nearby temples will serve a prayer service with an akathist. Almost simultaneously with the citywide automobile procession of the cross, another one is taking place: students of the Russian Orthodox School from the Church of the Nativity follow a prayer procession to the worship cross at the intersection of 70 Let Oktyabrya Street and Chekhov Avenue. The automobile procession of the cross on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross is annually held in the capital of the Kuban with the blessing of the ruling bishop, Metropolitan Isidor of Krasnodar and Kuban. Hundreds of people - drivers and passengers - take part in it, and for hundreds of thousands of Krasnodar residents, it becomes an impressive reminder of the triumph of Christ's faith.
