The Belgorod Martha-Mariinsky Sisterhood, operating on the territory of the monastery of the same name since 1995, announced the beginning of the charity event 'Wedding Dress as a Gift'. According to the sisterhood's official Internet portal, within its framework, couples preparing for the wedding, but experiencing financial difficulties, can receive one of the dresses for the bride or a suit for the groom for free. To do this, it is enough to present an invitation from the registry office with the date of the wedding indicated in it. Photos of the outfits donated by the residents of Belgorod for the action can be seen on the sisterhood's website. All of them are in excellent condition: after the celebration, such things are usually hung in the closet and no longer put on. It was these thoughts that prompted the sisters of mercy to hold the action. “We decided to tie this action to a wonderful Orthodox holiday - the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which will be on July 8th. This is the day of remembrance of Saints Peter and Fevronia, who were an example of an ideal married life, love and devotion, ”says Anastasia Maslakova, head of the sisterhood's press service.
