Tomorrow, the Central City Library of Tyumen will host a literary evening dedicated to the Day of the Orthodox Book. It will be attended by guests of honor - Russian film actor, director of the film 'Heirs' Konstantin Odegov, Ph.D. Galina Korotaeva, Tyumen writer Sergei Kozlov. The exposition 'Light under a Book Cover' will open its doors for all those who come. Admission to the event is free. Orthodox Book Day has been celebrated throughout Russia since 2010. The initiator of the establishment of the holiday was the Russian Orthodox Church. The date was not chosen by chance: it was on March 14, 1564 that the first printed book in Russia - 'The Apostle' by Deacon John Fyodorov, was published. The holiday carries an educational mission: to draw the attention of the living generations of Russians to the spiritual and moral literature of Orthodox content.
