St. Triphyllius

Triphyllius
Feastday: June 13
Death: 370

Bishop and convert, sometimes called Tryphillius. Originally a lawyer, he was converted to Christianity and eventually named bishop of Nicosia, Cyprus. Triphyllius was a devoted supporter of St. Athanasius of Alexandria against the Arians and consequently was persecuted by them. St. Jerome considered him one of the most eloquent Church figures of the era.
