Paula Montal Fornes (??October 11, 1799 - ??February 26, 1889) was a Catalan religious founder of the Sisters of Escolapias Pious Schools.
Montal Fornes was born into a family of craftsmen simple, large, complex and very Christian. He spent his childhood and youth in his native town, working from 10 years to the death of his father, as Puntaires-lace and actively engaged in parish catechetical ministry with children and young people. In 1829, at age 30, founded the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary, Sisters of the Pious Schools, opened in Figueras (Gerona) a school for girls. A school of seven other foundations followed Figueras personal. He died in Olesa de Montserrat (Barcelona), February 26, 1889.
