Priest martyr. He reportedly destroyed an altar of the pagan god Bacchus at Amphipolis, Macedonia. He was set on fire and exposed to wild beasts as a result but miraculously escaped both attempts at murdering him. He was beheaded at Constantinople, modern Istanbul.
