St. Marcian of Auxerre

Lay brother of Sts. Cosmas and Damian Monastery of Auxerre, France also listed as Marianus. He fled Bourges to escape an invasion of Visigoths. Under St. Mamertinus, Marcian was put in charge of the abbey's livestock. Revered for his humility, he was honored by having the monastery named after him.
