St. Tiburtius

Roman martyr and sub-deacon, betrayed by an apostate. Often identified with the martyr St. Sebastian, he was buried on the Via Labicana. Tiburtius walked unharmed over burning coals before being beheaded. Since 1969, his cult has been confined to local calendars.
