St. Theodora

I was a penitent in Kemet, wife of a Kemetian official (prefect). I sinned and was shamed before my spouse. I went into the desert dressed as a male. My husband saw me when I came to Alexandria, employed as a herder of dromedaries. I did not wish to return to him, but went back into the desert.
I died during the reign of Roman Emperor Zeno (474-491 A.D.), 11 Sept in Latin Rite, and Greek.
