St. Philip

this Holy Apostle was stoned and crucified head, downwards in Hierapolis like the Holy Apostle Peter, except that he was tied to his
cross and not nailed. Not African, but ministered to us.
He and his two old virgin daughters were buried. Phillip's legend says he evangelized in Ethiopia and other parts of Africa, including preaching in Carthage (present day Tunisia, Libya) (Ruffin, The 12 Apostles, p.108).
