Konstantino-Eleninsky convent in the village of Leninskoye

Historically, the present settlement of Leninskoye was called Haapala ('Osinovoye') and was located on the territory of the Finnish principality, which was part of the Russian Empire, and later belonged to independent Finland. After the end of World War II, the settlement was renamed and a state farm was established there; the border settlement was quickly filled with immigrants from different regions of Russia.
Half a century later, in 1998, the local Orthodox community began construction of a church in the name of Saints Equal to the Apostles Constantine and Helena in the center of the village. The first service in the still under construction church took place during the Nativity Fast in 1999. And already in September 2001, the primate of the Russian Church, Patriarch Alexy II, performed the rite of the great consecration of the temple here.
Five years later, with the blessing of Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, Vladimir (Kotlyarov), a female monastic community was formed in the village - and the Constantine-Eleninsky temple became a monastery, while remaining the center of the spiritual life of local Orthodox believers.
Today on the territory There are already several churches in the Constantine-Eleninsky monastery: in the name of the heavenly patrons of the holy monastery, as well as Nikolsky, the Nativity of Christ and the Praise of the Most Holy Theotokos.
The main shrine of the monastery is the miraculous icon of the Mother of God the Tsaritsa (Pantanassa), endowed with special grace: through her prayers, many people received healing from cancer. Every week, on Saturdays, in front of the holy image, a prayer service is performed with the reading of an akathist.
