Greek Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Russia, Rostov-on-Don)

The process of construction of the temple began in 2003, especially for this, the local authorities allocated a plot of land, its area was 0.2099 hectares. According to the initial plan, it was planned to implement the project that was approved at the construction planning stage. A little later, adjustments related to the style change were made to the content of the project. The project of the church was designed by architect G.A. Shevchenko. The start of construction is considered to be September 22, 2007. In 2012, a temporary church was erected next to the construction site, it received parishioners while the main church was being built. The Museum of Local Lore took the initiative to transfer the mortgage board of the first temple to the new temple, after its construction is completed and the first services begin. At the beginning of 2014, the main construction works were implemented. The building received a roof, the lining of the basement was carried out. In mid-October of the same year, wooden crosses were installed over the building. At the beginning of 2115, the church began officially holding services. In addition to services, other church events are held. The church has a Christian association, consisting mainly of young people, and a Sunday school, which can be attended by all parishioners regardless of age. Additional work was carried out after the church began its activities, a great contribution to the construction was made by the "I.I. Savvidi Charitable Foundation". The church also supports a local orphanage. At the moment, additional work is in the final stage. The church holds services, parishioners can visit it in order to pray to God.
