Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Ekaterinodar Theological Seminary and Sretensky Theological Academy, a joint tripartite agreement on cooperation and collaboration with the Otradnensky Historical and Archaeological Museum was signed.
Within the framework of the agreement it is planned to carry out reconstruction of the altar barrier of the medieval temple located at the Ilyichevsky ancient settlement in the Otradnensky district of Krasnodar Krai.
The Ilyichevskoye ancient settlement was one of the largest Christian centers in the Western Caucasus from the end of the 9th to the 13th centuries, a probable capital of the Western Alanian kingdom.
The altar barrier was installed in a temple that existed presumably in the 10th-11th centuries.
The tripartite agreement also envisages a wide range of other works on the study and preservation of monuments related to the history of the Christian Church in Kuban.
