The exhibition "The Royal Family: Love and Mercy" opened in the city of Zarechny

On March 14, 2024 in the Museum and Exhibition Center of the city of Zarechny, Penza region, the presentation of the exhibition "The Royal Family: love and mercy" took place. The exhibition is held as part of the events dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia. The image of the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II has become for many generations an ideal of love leading to holiness. The exhibition presents part of the collection of rare photographs from the life of the Royal Family, given to the museum by Ignatius (Shestakov), a resident of the Moscow Sretensky Monastery. The exposition also presents the temple icons of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya", the Royal Passion-Bearers, a copy of a separate iconography of the holy sovereign. Copies of letters of the royal family and items from the museum fund relating to the era of Nicholas II are also on display. At the opening of the exhibition for the first time in the city was presented a relic of the Penza region - a plaque from the place of visit in 1904 Emperor Nicholas II Spassky Cathedral of Penza, according to the website of the Penza Diocese. At the presentation with welcoming remarks made by Metropolitan Seraphim of Penza and Nizhnelomovsk Seraphim, Deputy Mayor of Zarechny Irina Sizova, Director of the Penza Regional Art Gallery named after K.A. Savitsky, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Kirill Vladimirovich Zastrozhny. Within the framework of the event an Agreement on cooperation between the Art Gallery and the Museum and Exhibition Center was signed. The Penza Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), the administration of the city of Zarechny, the Department of Culture and Youth Policy of the city of Zarechny, cultural institutions of the city of Zarechny: Children's School of Arts, Palace of Culture and Youth Policy of the city of Zarechny. Zarechny; cultural institutions of Zarechny: Children's School of Arts, Palace of Culture "Sovremennik", House of Culture "Druzhba" and inclusive theater studio "Shag"; Penza Regional Art Gallery named after K.A. Savitsky. K.A. Savitsky Regional Art Gallery, "Plastic and Dance Theater "Baroque", Penza Regional Drama Theater, and patrons of the arts. The exhibition will be open to visitors until April 14 from 10:00 to 18:00 (without a break), every day from Tuesday to Sunday, Monday - day off.
