On the site of the Information and Educational Center "Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" in the Sevastopol branch of the Plekhanov Russian Economic University. On May 7, the grand opening of the exhibition of historical photographs "The Royal Family: Love and Fidelity", telling about the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II took place.
The exhibition was opened by Igor Andreevich Shevchuk, Director of the branch. The guests of the exhibition - deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Legislative Assembly - took part in the solemn event. Elena Glotova, deputy head of the Gagarinsky municipal district Ivanchenko Yury Valeryevich, deputy head of the Gagarin municipal district, Pavel Butsay, Commissioner for Human Rights in Sevastopol, Pavel Yuryevich, head of the regional public reception office of Dmitry Medvedev in Sevastopol Inna Leonidovna Goncharova, associate professor of the history department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University branch, Anna Vasilyevna Kuzmina, assistant to the Sevastopol district superintendent Archpriest Stefan, parishioners of the Moscow Sretensky Monastery and the organizers of the exhibition Shretensky Monastery. The photo exhibition is intended to show, first of all, the life of the Imperial family as a fine example of Russian family traditions and immutable spiritual values. The exhibition includes photographs from the collection of Hieromonk Ignatius (Shestakov), a member of the Moscow Sretensky Monastery.
The highlight of the event, which took place on Holy Week, was a thematic block devoted to the Easter traditions of the royal family, exposition of a collection of Easter cards belonging to the chairman of the public organization "Historical Club "Sevastopol Tavrichesky" historian Vadim Prokopenkov.
