His Beatitude Patriarch John met with the priests of Damascus and its environs in the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony (Khuran) and the Venerable Assistant Bishops at the Patriarchate in Damascus. Metropolitan Anthony gave a speech, beginning with the meaning of ecclesial unity and mentioning the honesty and fidelity it implies. He explained how this is reflected in the life of a priest in love, responsibility, courage and prudence, as emphasized by St. John Chrysostom.
