In the framework of the visit, the distinguished guests familiarized themselves with the results of restoration works on the territory of the Church of Archistratigus Michael, whose rector is Bishop of Yalta Nestor. The Church of Archangel Michael in Alupka — an important spiritual, architectural, historical and urban planning landmark in the formation of the Greater Yalta settlements. This year the work on the temple grounds was continued. Officially, the first phase of restoration was completed on August 13, 2024.

The main sponsor of large-scale restoration works was «Sberbank of Russia». With the support of «Sber» repaired the rectory house, reconstructed destroyed retaining walls, landscaping, paved paths. An amphitheater for cultural events, a large parking lot for parishioners and pilgrims were built on the territory of the temple. Work is underway to create an Orthodox youth center, Orthodox school for children and adults, clubs for parishioners and especially for Alupka youth, sports complex, as well as youth school for additional education.

In the course of the second phase of work will be restored the temple itself: in the plans to replace networks, major repairs to the facade and roof, replacement of waterproofing. Completion of large-scale restoration will make Alupkinsky temple not only the spiritual center of the South Coast, but also a renewed historical landmark of the whole Crimea.
