A spiritual and educational center in memory of the heroes of polar convoys will appear on Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg. The decision to grant the site to the parish of the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called Apostle was made at a meeting of Governor Alexander Beglov with members of the city government.
The plot is located on Alexander Grin Boulevard. Here the investor plans to build a spiritual center with a museum of northern convoys and a temple.
«The project under consideration has a spiritual and educational orientation. The new center and museum, which is planned to be built, — is a contribution to the patriotic education of young people and preservation of the memory of war heroes — sailors of polar convoys», — noted the mayor.
