On November 22, 2024, on the feast of the icon of the Mother of God «Skoroposlushennitsa», in Pokrovsky Stavropegial Nunnery Moscow, the day of the namesake and birthday of Blessed Matrona of Moscow was prayerfully celebrated. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the celebrations were led by the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism, Vicar of the Don Stavropegial Monastery Donskiy Stavropegial Monastery Metropolitan Feognost of Kashir.

After arriving at the monastery, the archpastor bowed to the relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow, and then led a late Divine Liturgy in the Resurrection Cathedral of the monastery.

After the Liturgy was over, a prayer service and a procession around the Resurrection Cathedral of the monastery took place. At the relics of Blessed Matrona of Moscow, Metropolitan Theognost read a prayer to the righteous old woman. Throughout the procession the clergy sprinkled numerous believers with holy water.
At the end of the procession Vladyka Feognost addressed the audience with an archpastoral word.
