On November 14, 2024, the Minsk Theological Academy hosted the IX International Scientific Conference «Church Science at the Beginning of the Third Millennium: Current Problems and Prospects for Development».
This forum is one of the most important scientific events organized annually at the Minsk Theological Academy. This year the participants of the conference were theologians, religious studies, church historians, teachers, postgraduates, master's students and students of spiritual and secular educational institutions of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Poland and Japan.

The conference was opened by the welcome message of the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, which was read out by the Rector of the Minsk Theological Academy Archimandrite Athanasius (Sokolov).

The plenary session began with a speech by Archbishop Anthony of Grodno and Volkovyssk on the topic «Activity of Archbishop Venedikt (Bobkovsky) (1876-1951) to strengthen church unity in the Belarusian lands during the Second World War». Rector of Kazan Theological Seminary, Priest Nikita Kuznetsov. Professor of the Department of Church History at Moscow Theological Academy M.V. Pervushin presented the report «How Patriarch Joachim fought. (To the 350th anniversary of his Patriarchate: 1674-2024)».
After the end of the plenary session, part of the print run of Archbishop Anthony's book «Archbishop Venedikt (Bobkovsky) (1876-1951): life, ecclesiastical ministry and written heritage» was handed over to the library of the Minsk Theological Academy.
Further work of the conference continued in the framework of 11 sections under the guidance of teachers of Minsk Theological Academy:

The practical result of the forum will be the publication of a collection of materials, which will be published by the Minsk Theological Academy.
