The training center of St. Alexis Hospital has begun training local residents and volunteers in Kursk in first aid training with elements of tactical medicine. On September 13, on the basis of Kursk hospital, the training of the first stream on the program «Nursing Assistant» was completed, the next stream is scheduled for September 20. The first graduates have already begun to help care for the wounded. In the future in the Kursk diocese with the blessing of Metropolitan Herman of Kursk and Rylsk, it is planned to create a sisterhood of mercy.
Volunteers and employees of the Synodal Department for Charity are also helping in three temporary accommodation centers and a hospital in Kursk region. On August 16, the Synodal Department for Charity opened a church center for comprehensive social assistance in Kursk. Since then, more than 15,000 people have turned to the center for help.
