His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, answering the questions of TASS Director General A.O. Kondrashov during his Christmas interview on January 7, 2024, noted that Russia, having gained spiritual strength, has become a pillar of Orthodoxy throughout the world.
"Now is a special time - I call it a time of concentration. Russia has indeed gained strength - both material, intellectual, scientific and military," His Holiness said.
"Russia has gained, undoubtedly, spiritual strength as well. It has become a pillar of Orthodoxy throughout the world," he added.
"Our Church does not just play some cultural role and is behind the fields of public life, on the periphery, serving pensioners. She is at the center of people's lives," Patriarch Kirill concluded.
