February 22, 2024 in the Patriarchal and Synodal residence in the Danilov Stavropegial Monastery under the chairmanship of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia held a meeting on the Program for the construction of Orthodox churches in Moscow, reports Patriarchy.ru.
The meeting was attended by: Metropolitan Feognost of Kashira, chairman of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism, the manager of the Southern Vicariate and the borough of stauropegial parishes and Patriarchal wards outside of Moscow. Archbishop Thomas of Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk, Head of the Administrative Secretariat of the Moscow Patriarchate, Administrator of the Western Vicariate; Bishop Panteleimon of Vereya, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service, Administrator of the Eastern and temporary Administrator of the Southwestern Vicariates; Bishop Nikandr of Naro-Fominsk, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Department of the Moscow Patriarchate, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund "Support for the Construction of Moscow City Temples", Administrator of the Northwestern Vicariate; Nun Theodora (Sergeyeva), Chief Accountant of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The meeting was also attended by rectors of churches under construction in the Russian capital:
Northern Vicariate
Priest Victor Gerasimov, Rector of the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Degunin;
Southern Vicariate
Priest Mikhail Karpenko, rector of the Church of the Martyrs Vera, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia;
Archpriest Victor Gusev, rector of the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of God" in Chertanovo;
Priest Timothy Kuropatov, rector of the Church of the Passion-Bearer Tsar Nicholas II in Southern Chertanovo;
Archpriest Mikhail Avramenko, rector of the Church of the Praise of the Most Holy Mother of God in Zyablikovo;
Western Vicariate

Priest Evgeny Markov, rector of the Church of the Holy Martyr Vasily, Archpriest of Moscow, in Konkovo;

In the course of the meeting, topical issues of construction of the capital's churches were discussed.
