Moscow, June 15, 2024
On June 12, 2024, on the day before the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, at the end of the Divine Liturgy a thanksgiving service was held for the graduates of the Military University named after Prince Alexander Nevsky.

Archpriest Mikhail Ryazantsev, Assistant Head of the Military University for Work with Faithful Servicemen Archpriest Demetrius Solonin, with the blessing of the clergyman of the Cathedral Cathedral Church of Christ the Savior, Archpriest Nikolay Filatov, and with the assistance of Viktoria Konovalchik.
The service was sung by the combined choir of cadets of the Military University and singers of the Chamber Choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior under the direction of the regent Sergei Sidorenko.
Teachers and cadets of the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University attended and prayed at the service.
At the end of the prayer service Archpriest Demetrius Solonin made a farewell address to those gathered that day in the temple and sprinkled all present with Holy Water.
In his welcoming speech to the graduates, Father Demetrius congratulated everyone on the end of the academic year and wished God's help on the upcoming path of officer service, and also noted that this event has become a tradition for the Military University and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
"It is gratifying that the command of the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University does everything possible for the spiritual development and growth of its students, cadets and officers" - emphasized in his speech Archpriest Dmitry Solonin.
