On November 6, 2024, a regular meeting of the Christ the Savior Cathedral under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia for the Commemoration of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Church of Russia took place in the Sergiev Hall of the Cathedral Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow.
A regular meeting of the Church and Public Council under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia for the Commemoration of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Church of Russia was held.
The event was led by the chairman of the Council, Patriarchal Vicar of the Moscow Metropolis Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsy and Kolomna.
In the course of the meeting, which took place in a face-to-face remote format, the participants discussed the general state of activities to perpetuate the feat of the new martyrs and confessors in the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church, the fulfillment of Recommendations to diocesan bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church on measures to preserve the memory of the new martyrs, confessors and all those who suffered innocently from the God-fighters during the years of persecution, and also heard new proposals for popularizing the feat of the new martyrs and confessors of the Church of Russia.
