Holy Play. Brothers Maccabees, His Excellency was welcomed by the children and youth of Dubiński Parish, representatives of the local government, the Parish Council and the parish priest Fr. Fr. Andrzej Busłowski. In the evenings "Krynochka" was constantly buzzing with the prayers of the faithful. In the evening they celebrated St. Liturgy Day. On Tuesday morning, the main holy liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Bishop Paul. At the small entrance, Fr. Fr. Andrzej Buslowski, parish priest of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dubiny, received the right to wear the mitre.
The Christmas sermon was delivered by Fr. Marek Jurczuk, parish priest of St. Dmitri Church in Hajnówka. The preacher, referring to the history of the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, noted that the mystery of the Kingdom of God was revealed to the ignorant and Pharisees, but to the common people. The apostles were not educated people, but on the day of Pentecost they were endowed with the grace of the Holy Spirit, receiving everything they needed to continue the mission of Jesus Christ. Everyone who wants to follow the Savior has the same responsibility that the apostles had. Witness to Jesus Christ, the Savior, by continuing His mission. Man is unable to accomplish this task without help, without the grace of the Holy Spirit, whose source is the holy sacraments.
The festive celebrations ended with the consecration of water and a solemn procession around the church. It was followed by Bishop Paul, who emphasized that the richness of the many names and terms that accompany the Feast of Pentecost reflects, in a sense, the abundance of the grace of the Holy Spirit. His Excellency emphasized the role of the Holy Spirit in man's salvation, noting that without the grace of the Holy Spirit, man is unable to do anything good. The Holy Father recalled the words of St. Paul in his letter to the Galatians: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such [virtues]. But those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us also act by the Spirit" . Bishop Paul noted that this year's celebrations were of a unique nature, connected with the centenary of the Orthodox Church receiving autocephaly in Poland. His Excellency presented the local parish priest with the right to wear a mitre with a medal commemorating this event, presented by Metropolitan Savva. The hierarch thanked all the participants of the two-day celebrations for their joint prayers, the transmission of Christmas greetings and the archpastoral blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Savva. In conclusion, Bishop Paul wished the clergy and faithful abundant grace of the Holy Spirit.
