On May 16-20, 2024, a series of events dedicated to the history and culture of the Cossacks in Europe was held in Paris. Participants included the staff of the Synodal Committee for Interaction with Cossacks, representatives of modern Cossack societies and associations, descendants of Cossacks, representatives of clergy and public authorities, figures of science, culture and education.
On May 17, the Russian House of Science and Culture in Paris hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Cossacks and Europe: late XVIII — early XX centuries». The event was organized to promote an objective approach to the preservation of historical memory and memorable dates of Russian history, to promote the consolidation of Cossack societies, other associations of Cossacks in Russia and abroad and the Russian Orthodox Church, to determine the role and importance of Cossack units of the Russian army in the wars in Europe in the late XVIII — early XX centuries.

The participants were also greeted by representatives of the Russian government, Cossack societies in Russia and abroad, descendants of emigrants, scientific papers on the proposed theme.
In addition to the conference, there was a memorial service for the repose of soldiers of the Russian army who died on March 25, 1814 in the battle of Fer-Champenoise, a concert of the Cossack ensemble «Razdolie», a visit to the Russian cemetery. Saint-Geneviève-de-Bois, a Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Corsun Diocese in honor of the Holy Trinity, a reception on behalf of the association in memory of His Majesty's Life Guards Cossack Regiment and a number of other events.
