On July 16, 2024, Hieromonk Kirill (Peregudin), an employee of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, took part in a meeting of the Commission for the Promotion and Support of Education, Science and the Russian Language Abroad of the Public Council under the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
The participants of the meeting, held in the building of the Moscow Pedagogical State University under the chairmanship of the rector of this university, Chairman of the Commission A.V. Lubkov, discussed the results of Rossotrudnichestvo's activities in 2023 and work plans for 2024.
In addition, the projects of new expert platforms were considered: «Efficiency of tools for promoting Russian higher education, attracting foreign applicants, the development of scientific international cooperation between Russia and countries of the world» «Prospects for promoting the Russian language and education in Russian abroad»
