November 22, 2024 in Saransk started the X Interregional Forum for leaders and activists of diocesan youth departments of the Volga Federal District «Peresvet». This year's event is dedicated to the theme «Patriotism and the history of Russia in the image of great saints».
The forum traditionally began with the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Righteous Warrior Theodore Ushakov in Saransk. The divine service was led by Metropolitan Zinovy of Saransk and Mordovia. His Eminence was served by Bishop Kliment of Krasnoslobodsk and Temnikovsky, Bishop Meletiy of Ardatovo and Atyashevsky, as well as participants of the Forum «Peresvet» in the clergy. The central event of the first day of the forum was a plenary session in the pilgrimage center of the St. John the Theologian Monastery in Makarovka.
Artem Zdunov, the head of Mordovia, welcomed the participants at the opening of the meeting. High awards for their work priests and staff of the Mordovian Metropolitanate were recognized with the youth.

Afterwards, Minister of Education of the Republic of Mordovia Elena Soldatova spoke about the large-scale activities jointly with Saran Diocese in the field of spiritual and moral education of the younger generation. The coordinator of the project «World of Opportunities» of the All-Russian political party «United Russia» Roman Romanov made a presentation of the program «History of Russia in the great saints» which will start in Mordovia on November 26.
