On June 7, 2024, a working meeting on the restoration and preservation of unique historical monuments and modernization of the communal infrastructure of Pskov Oblast's landmarks was held at the Assumption Pskov-Pechersk Monastery under the leadership of the Chairman of the Council of ANO «Revival of Cultural Heritage Sites in the City of Pskov and the Pskov Oblast» and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Territory Development Fund Sergey Stepashin

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Patriarchal Council for Culture Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, Metropolitan Arseny of Pskov and Porkhov, Abbot of the Assumption Pskov-Pechersk Monastery Archbishop of Pskov Pechersk Archbishop Matthew of Pechersk, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Yuri Gordeev, First Vice President of JSC «Gazprombank» Konstantin Tsitsin, Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Pskov Region Vadim Nedik, Director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization «Revival» Denis Vasilenko, Head of the Pechora Municipal District Valery Zaitsev, other invited decision-makers persons.
The participants of the meeting discussed the progress of work on the restoration of facilities of the Assumption Pskovo-Pechersk Monastery, modernization and reconstruction of communal, urban and road infrastructure of Pechory, as well as the reconstruction of the Svyatogorsky monastery.
Yuri Gordeev recalled the serious work that was carried out by the federal agency in preparation for the 550th anniversary of the Pskovo-Pechersk Monastery. In a short period of time the Ministry of Construction of Russia has carried out work to determine the list of objects and activities, to develop, coordinate and submit to the Government of the Russian Federation an order on the allocation of the Reserve Fund. We are talking about budget allocations in the amount of more than 1.4 billion rubles. By order of the President of Russia for the anniversary celebrations in Pechory were repaired and restored almost all objects of historical and architectural ensemble of XV-XIX centuries and modern infrastructure of the city, updated engineering infrastructure, improved transport accessibility of the city, — — noted the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation.
The initiator of the large-scale works, Metropolitan Tikhon drew attention to the renewal of municipal infrastructure with the support of the Territorial Development Fund, which affected both the territory of the of the monastery, as well as the Pechory itself: «Now a significant part of the holy monastery has been restored. All the networks that used to be in a state of emergency have been re-laid. We applied for the reconstruction of the networks, but in fact they had to be completely re-laid. A gigantic work has been done. And I am very glad that it was done not only in the monastery, but also in the city, which is extremely important. 27 kilometers of networks were made anew.
According to Igor Shaturny, the deputy governor of the Pskov region, during the last year in Pechory parks and courtyard areas were improved, 23 residential houses were repaired. Under the project «Clean Water» the reconstruction of the city water intake «Maysky» is underway, which will provide quality water supply to more than 8 thousand people.
ANO «Revival of objects of cultural heritage», which in the Pskov region is carrying out large-scale work on the restoration of historical and architectural monuments, created by decision and with the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin. There are 69 objects in the area of responsibility now. At present, the preparation of project documentation is in progress for 20 historical monuments, repair, restoration and accident prevention works cover 27 more objects.

Before the meeting, the officials toured the landscaped areas of Pechory, which have been cleaned up, visited the park on Svobody Street, Oktyabrskaya Square and the renovated bus station.
