Today the public will be presented with a book - an album published by the State Agency for Religious Affairs, which includes both Orthodox and other Christian and non-Christian shrines operating in Georgia. It is essentially a continuation of previous editions: "Shrines operating in Tbilisi - religious buildings" (as the authors call it) and "Occupied Heritage".
These books completed the description of the churches and shrines operating in Georgia and accomplished a great work - the result of the selfless labor of many people, the work of our parishioners, our priests and clergy;
The given material clearly shows, in a relatively short period of time, how many temples were restored, renovated and how many were built anew for the glory of God and the service of our people.
This is a kind of spiritual photo chronicle of our country in the first quarter of the XXI century.
The presented articles themselves require continuation. I am referring even to those churches-monasteries and shrines that are not functioning or remain in the form of ruins. Their description is also important so that we have full information about the work to be done. It is also desirable to present our churches abroad.....
I would like to bless Mr. Zaza Vashakmadze, under whose diligence and supervision the publication of the above mentioned books and many other important books was carried out. publications; I bless each member of his working group and wish them continued success in the fulfillment of their divine and temporal endeavors.
Georgia has always been characterized by tolerance, as evidenced by the presence of many places of worship of other religions in the Orthodox country. Despite our different beliefs, love for the Motherland binds and unites us, the children of Georgia.
I ask God to bless our population and the whole of Georgia with peace and unity, Amen.
