The spiritual journey that began in the font must continue so that we can progress and reach the full measure of the age of Christ. St. Paul reveals God's intention for mankind to be with the Lord in His glory, as it is said, "And when Christ our life shall appear, then ye also shall appear with Him in glory" (Col. 3). , 4).
The process of our growth in grace, echoing Paul's words to the Colossians, boils down to a feat and effort to remove sins such as fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, greed, anger, malice, blasphemy, and obscene words. Instead, we are to put on humility, meekness, patience, tolerance and love, which many reject in today's age where alternative conceptions of freedom and differing viewpoints prevail. Many things are allowed and tolerated today as if sin no longer exists. Because of all this, it is imperative that we preserve the principles of family and marriage, child rearing and education in our homes by remaining careful and vigilant not to "lose our compass."
