His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr.. Porfiry spoke at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade on December 3, 2024, with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ukraine, Mr. Serbi. Andon Sapundzija.
The patriarch wished the gentleman happiness and success. Sapundzija in his new position, which, given the circumstances of the war in Ukraine, is very demanding, expressed his prayerful wishes for an end to the conflict in that country. Ambassador Sapunjija informed the Patriarch about the status of our diplomatic mission in Kiev, which he will head by decree of the President of the Republic of Serbia by the end of this year.
The meeting was attended by Archpriest Djordje Stojisavljevic, head of the Serbian Patriarch's Cabinet, and Ms. Olivera Jovanovic, editor-in-chief of the Serbian Patriarchate newspaper "Pravoslavlja".
