Patriarch Porfiry served a solemn Slavic ordination at the City Assembly of Belgrade

His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr. Porfirios visited the Assembly of the City of Belgrade on June 13, 2024, on the occasion of the celebration of the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, the Day of the Savior, the glory of the Serbian capital. The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church was warmly welcomed in front of the capital's Assembly building by the host of the celebration, the President of the Provisional Authority of Belgrade, Mr.. Aleksandar Šapić. This was followed by a cordial meeting with the Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porfirije and Prime Minister Mr. Miloš Vucevic, and then His Holiness the Patriarch in the solemn hall of the City Assembly performed the consecration of the Slavic gifts and broke the Slavic pie together with the host, members of the City Administration and numerous guests.
