Patriarch Kirill expressed condolences to the Serbian Church and people

Moscow, November 2, 2024.

Holy Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent Holy Patriarch Porfiry of Serbia has sent his condolences in connection with the tragic accident in the city of Novi Sad (Serbia), where more than ten people were killed due to the collapse of the roof at the railway station.

His Holiness, His Holiness, His Holiness Porfiry, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovac, Patriarch of Serbia

Your Holiness, beloved Congregation and fellow servant at the throne of God!

On behalf of the God-loving Fullness of the Russian Orthodox Church and on my own behalf, I offer You and His Eminence Metropolitan Irinej of Bacsk my deepest sincere condolences in connection with the catastrophe in Novi Sad, which resulted in the death and injury of many people.

I pray for the repose of all those who were victims of what happened. The Father of mercies and God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1:3), may He raise from the bed of sickness May He send comfort to all who have been touched by this tragedy.
