His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has expressed condolences over the death of people as a result of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.

Dear brothers and sisters!
I am deeply shocked by the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall, which claimed many lives of peaceful people. The atrocity is shocking in its cynicism and cruelty. I express my sincere condolences to you and I grieve with you in my heart.
I am convinced that law enforcement agencies and special services will do everything possible to successfully and as soon as possible uncover this audacious crime and bring to justice those responsible for its organization and execution.
Being deeply concerned for all of you, I urge you not to lose faith, to keep courage, fortitude and to pray diligently to the Lord, who is always near to those who suffer and grieve.
I bless the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Ministry to provide all necessary pastoral assistance to the victims and families of the victims.
May the merciful God rest the souls of the dead, grant healing to the wounded, and comfort all those affected by this terrible tragedy.
