The opening of the new church was also attended by Princess Mariam Ghazi and Archbishop Christopher of Kiriakopolis, Patriarchal Administrator in Amman, who said that the opening of the church coincides with the celebration of the silver jubilee of King Abdullah II of Jordan, emphasizing that Jordan is a living example of religious coexistence and a haven of safety, security and stability. Archbishop Christopher noted that the church will welcome young people, become a venue for conferences, intellectual and cultural gatherings and serve the local community.
The new church is the first in Jordan to bear the name of the Holy Three Saints and is located in the center of the Orthodox Center at the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dibin. The church has a geometric design reflecting the traditional Jordanian style of building with a Byzantine architectural spirit. The first Holy Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Three Saints will take place on February 23, 2024.
