His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr.. Porphyrios received on July 23, 2024, at the St. Sava Memorial Church in Belgrade, members of the Serbian water polo team, participants in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
Recalling that the Serbian water polo team is a symbol of unity and cooperation, His Holiness said: - Where there is effort, labor, mutual love and respect, the Lord will add His blessings and the result will be better. Thank you for presenting our country in the best light.
On this occasion, the President of the Water Polo Association of Serbia, Mr.. Viktor Jelenic, selector Uroš Stevanović and captain Nikola Jaksic presented His Holiness with the Serbian national team tracksuit with the inscription "Patriarch Porfirije" .
