Today our Holy Church honors the memory of the Apostle Nathanael.
St. Nathanael came from Cana of Galilee. He was a close friend of the Apostle Philip, who announced to him the prophecies fulfilled in the person of Christ.
Then he joined the circle of the twelve disciples of the Lord. His work extended to Africa, Mauritania and Britain, where he was martyred by the cross from the pagans.
