On August 19, 2024, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus III presided at the night Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Transfiguration of the Jerusalem Orthodox Church on Mount Tabor.

The Divine Liturgy was prayed by Metropolitan Kyriac of Nazareth (Jerusalem Patriarchate), believers from among the Orthodox Arab communities of the Holy Land, sisters of the Gorno Monastery, pilgrims from Russia, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and other countries.
Prayers and liturgical chants were heard at the Greek and Arabic. The Holy Scriptures, some prayers, litanies and exclamations were also recited in Church Slavonic, Romanian and Serbian.
After the communion of the clergy, Patriarch Theophilos traditionally addressed all those present with a festive word, the translation of which was read into Russian by Archimandrite Vassian.
After the service His Beatitude consecrated the grapes of the new harvest.
The festive services in the Trinity Cathedral in Jerusalem were led by the clergyman of the Russian Theological Mission, clergyman of the sub-church in honor of St. John the Baptist at the site of the Baptism of the Lord (Jordan), Hieromonk Matthew (Kozlov). At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Father Matthew blessed the fruits of the new harvest and addressed the worshipers with a word of sermon.
