In the summer of 2023, the portal Orthodoxy.ru was published article, dedicated to the forebears, relatives and mentors of the martyr Hilarion (Troitsky), with details of the bank account for those wishing to participate in the collection of funds necessary for the creation and installation of a monument to the ancestors and relatives of Hilarion at the birthplace of the martyr - in the village of Lipitsy.
In October of this year the consecration of the monument, which had been installed shortly before behind the altar of the Lipitsy church, took place. The consecration was attended by clergy and laity, representatives of the Serpukhov district of the Podolsk diocese of the Moscow Metropolis, the Sretensky Theological Academy, the Tula Theological Seminary and the Moscow Theological Academy.
The initiative group for the erection of the memorial thanks all readers of the portal Orthodoxy.ru, which participated in the fundraising for the project, and expresses the undoubted hope that the Lord, through the prayers of St. Hilarion, Archbishop of Vereya, will send His inherent blessing to the benefactors. After all, it is not by chance that in the prayer rite of blessing and consecration of the tomb cross the Church by the mouth of the priest asks:
"And as by the Cross the world was freed from sinful condemnation, so also Thy servants, who have faithfully made the sign of the Cross, and who for the love of the dead and the departed lying here, have raised them up, by the power of the Cross of Thy beloved Son, always make them victors over sin, and grant them all Thy good things both earthly and heavenly; and by the Cross, always teaching all the faithful to do good, lead them to receive the crown of Heaven".
